The Ram 1500 may be considered a light duty truck, but it is as tough as trucks come, and it is one of the most capable in its class.
There are many engine options for the Ram 1500. Perhaps the most powerful of these choices is the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 that is equipped with eTorque Mild Hybrid Technology. This combination offers drivers the ability to tow up to 12,750 pounds utilizing 395 horsepower to do the job. The traditional 5.7 liter HEMI engine (without eTorque) offers 395 horses under the hood but will only tow a maximum of 11,610 pounds. The Ram 1500 may also be outfitted with a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine, and it is also equipped with eTorque. A 3.0 liter Ecodiesel is also available in the Ram 1500; this powerful engine will tow up to 12,560 pounds.
We'd be remiss if we didn't mention the performance oriented TRX edition of the Ram 1500. This Ram 1500 owns a supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8 engine.
